Our Story
Back in 2009, the founder of KGF had a spark to collate all information related to Kanchi Kamakoti Matam’s 68th Peetadhipathi Sri Sri Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswathi Swamigal into one place to benefit thousands of devotees around the world. That’s how https://mahaperiyavaa.blog was started. With Mahaperiyava’s blessings, this blog grew so rapidly and became the daily destination for millions of Mahaperiyava devotees around the globe. To date this blog has about 20+ million views since inception.
The blog team felt that it isn’t enough to read about the greatness of Mahaswami and the peetam but to start practicing the teachings to some degree if not all. In mid-2014 itself we started involving ourselves in projects related to veda rakshanam (Support for veda schools/students etc) in an informal way. However only in 2015, Kanchi Guruparampara Foundation (KGF) was officially started in US as a non-profit organization with the blessings of current acharya Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal & Sri Sri Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal. Rest is history.
