Veda Rakshnam

As Sri Maha Periyavaa’s entire Avataram was primarily dedicated to resurrection and renewing Vedhic way of living, He has repeatedly emphasized how supporting Veda Patasalas constitutes the single most important Dharmic Kaingaryam for all beings because all the great Vaidheekas we are blessed with today had had their origins of training in one of these Vedhic Patasalas.  Without these Patasalas, the world would lose its most important treasure: the Vedhic knowledge.  For ages, Maharishis and Vedhic Pundits have made enormous personal sacrifices to teach, train and disseminate Vedhas to subsequent generations.

Sri Maha Periyava has stressed that the least contribution by those who have not studied Vedhas themselves would be to support Vedha Patasalas.  All temples would become simple museums and would eventually whither away without Vedhas and without Vedha patasalas there would be no Vaidheekas who protect Vedhas and pass them on to the next generation.

Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and Sri Sankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal continue the teachings and practices started by Mahaperiyava in preserving vedic culture among Hindus.

Kanchi Guruparampara Foundation is committed to follow the teachings of Kanchi Acharyas partner with various individuals for Veda Rakshanam initiatives.

Patasala Support

In today’s cost of living, running a patasalas comes with lots of responsibilities – financially and otherwise also. Each vidyarthi (student) costs nearly Rs 7000+/month in today’s cost of living. Additionally addressing their well-being is a great moral responsibility. Keeping them healthy, teaching them various skills outside of vedas add to the cost of running the patasalas.

Thanks to those vaideekas who guide, participate and teach how to conduct such yagnas for the benefit of humanity. Offering dakshina for them is one of the major expense line item while planning for an event. KGF offers its support for such events annually.

Nityagnihotris support

In addition to supporting regular vaideekas, KGF is committed to support rarest of the rarest nityagnihotris. In a country of 1.4 billion population there are less than 100 nityagnihotris in our country. Agnihotris lead a saint-like lifestyle dedicated to do these fire rituals on a daily basis for Loka-kshemam. Our scriptures talk highly about them and the punya one could get by supporting them is immeasurable
